We often see celebrities getting Anti-wrinkle injections done or using Dermal fillers to achieve a more youthful appearance. But what is the difference between the two and how can you make sure you choose the right treatment for yourself? Read on to find out what procedure would be best suitable for you!

Anti-wrinkle injections or Botulinum toxin relaxes the muscle and prevents it from actively contracting when the face is in motion or making an expression.
We recommend Anti-wrinkle injections if you would like to correct dynamic lines (lines which get deeper when you make a facial expression, i.e. raising your eyebrows or frowning) and reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle injections is the most effective way to soften existing lines and relax the muscles, resulting in a more youthful and fresher look. It is also used as a preventative method for early signs of aging. With most rejuvenating treatments, a good long-term result is only possible if the underlying muscle action is controlled with anti-wrinkle injections.

Facial fillers or dermal fillers are also used to prevent or eliminate the aging of the skin. Facial fillers help to restore the fat pads that, over time reduce, resulting in aging from our 30’s onward. Not only do dermal fillers fill the troubled areas with hyaluronic acid, which is naturally in our skin it helps to plump and lift the skin achieving a more youthful appearance.

We recommend Facial Fillers if you have static wrinkles, which are visible even when your face is relaxed and making no expression. Facial Fillers are also ideal to use on the depleted and sunken areas on your face. The most popular areas are the cheeks and the nasolabial folds (lines which occur from the side of your nose to the corner of your mouth).

Before deciding between Anti-wrinkle injections and Facial fillers, you should consider what part of your face you would like to treat and what wrinkles you want to gone.

At Deerpark Aesthetics we provide an anti-wrinkle  treatment plan to outline how much work you need and how often you will need to return. Anti-wrinkle injections typically last between 3-4 months whereas dermal fillers last from 9 months to a year and a half.

We offer a free first consultation to ensure you have received all information before committing to the injectables. We also recommend to leave several days after attending your first consultation before making your decision to go ahead with your anti-wrinkle treatment plan. Two weeks after the procedure we invite you back for a free correctional treatment according to your needs and desires.

It is also very important to carry out a throughout medical check-up to ensure your suitability for treatment. If you are pregnant or breast feeding we do not recommend you to get any anti-wrinkle treatment done.
